Master password being used for various sites. HELP PLEASE!

Hi, I have used LastPass successfully for many years on both my Windows laptop and Chromebook. I aslo have Bitwarden as a backup. Furthermore, my Chromebook also uses Google password manager.

However, I now have a problem with LastPass on Chromebook that it has autofilled many of my saved sites with my Master password? I have tried changing them and saving them but it still reverts to using the master password, thus locking me out of these sites.

HELP!

Hi @jpenny84, Many thanks for this superb advice.

I have removed my LastPass account from my Google password manager as you suggested and this has restored all my passwords to what they should be and not my master password.

Likely cause is the master password being saved to your browser's internal password manager. Check that password list and delete anything related to LastPass.
