I received the same email. Is it legit?
I'm asking the same question- is it legit?
Not sure about this. The version of the app on the App Store is listed as 4.126.0 and was updated 6 days ago. So it would appear LastPass does need to be updated. However, I would go to the App Store direct and avoid clicking any links in the email.

If so, why isn't there an article about this move on your website? The latest article that comes up when searching for "Mac App Store" is dated December 14, 2023 (https://support.lastpass.com/s/document-item?bundleId=lastpass&topicId=LastPass/Use_the_LastPass_Mac_App_install_log_in.html&_LANG=enus ) make no mention of this new requirement?
I downloaded the LastPass app from the Mac App Store per LP's instructions but it doesn't work. I am running Catalina 10.15.7 on my Mac which should be compatible. Not sure what to do. I have trashed the LP app twice from my Applications folder and tried downloading again, with the same result. The app doesn't run on my Mac. I can log in fine if I use Chrome, but I can't use the LP app and Safari.
There appears to be some problems at LastPass right now. The App Store indicates 10.15 or later should be compatible and the email indicates nothing should change until March 31st. However, as you indicate, 10.15 may not be compatible and my Safari extension which was working yesterday is no longer working today. Hopefully my iOS version will remain working.
Well, since the Safari extension on my Mac had quit working and I still had iOS backup I decided to try to update Last Pass on my Mac running 13.6.5 via the App Store. Installation was fast and simple after uninstalling the previous version of Last Pass. All seems to be working fine now with the new version installed. Updating Safari to the latest version seems to break the Last Pass version 4.116 extension despite their email implying all would be OK until March 31st. The desktop version 4.116 of the app appears to still work to allow access to your vault but you seem to lose the convenience of the extension.
I also received the email. I didn't click on a link in it. Instead, I downloaded the "latest" version of LastPass from the Apple App store (LastPass version 4.126). Unfortunately, it doesn't work on Mac OS version 10.15.7 (19H2026).
Since then I had a call with LastPass support who informed me that the LastPass App is designed to work with the two previous versions of MacOS. As I'm 4 MacOS versions back (latest is OS version 14 Sonoma (Sunburst)) - I'm a victim of planned obsolescence. Major bummer since I used the app constantly.
The agent explained that I can use the LastPass extension (if I switch to a compatible browser) or use my account via my browser.
Frankly, in an ideal world - the App Store shouldn't have allowed me to download a version of LastPass that won't work with my OS.
Otherwise, I find LastPass at fault for not warning me about this change which should be noted in the release notes (at the very least).
so I believed the email, upgraded to OS 11.7 so that I could continue to use Lastpass, but now more problems. Lastpass seems especially problematic when I have multiple accounts for the same URL (eg. to access online banking for myself and my mother).
I have a MacBook Air 13" early 2014, running OS 11.7.10, Safari 16.6.1. Lastpass 4.126.These are all the latest versions of software that will run on this MacBook.Lastpass keeps crashing Safari.I uninstalled and reinstalled Lastpass but the problem persists. Lastpass also seems to be interfering when I attempt to change my Facebook password, so I'm locked out of Facebook now LOL
